On June 28, the Assembly of the HD Forum Italia Association was held in Rome with the renewal of top offices and the resumption of activities for the second half of the year on the agenda.
The Association came from a double term of presidency to Benito Manlio Mari, who by statute could not be re-elected and whose work has been widely appreciated by all the Associates. At his side Sebastiano Trigila representing the Ugo Bordoni Foundation was confirmed in the role of Deputy Vice President, while in recognition of the great work done as a President and to ensure continuity in the operations of the Association, Benito Manlio Mari was appointed Secretary General.
Gino Alberico, who has already held the position of Head of the Working Group for many years, was reconfirmed.
The Association will shortly complete the organization chart with the names of the Vice Presidents and make known the first activities of the new Presidency.
“In the last decade – declared the new President – we have experienced tumultuous changes in all sectors of the audiovisual industry. The recently completed switch-off in Italy and the upcoming transition to DVB-T2 will affect the centre of gravity of the offer and constitute a further push towards the second digital transformation of the system as a whole. It is essential that all players in the supply chain – manufacturing industry, system and service integrators, telecommunication operators, tower companies, broadcasters – act in concert to guarantee users the best possible access to their favourite content “.
